F A Q
Do you have a pediatric program?
What tribal nation is your founder from and can you tell us more about this?
At this time we do not offer a pediatric program. However, we do have a program under development for older children. This program will be very similar to the adult program, but will also include relevant social media topics.
Our founder is Comanche (Numunu) and Aztec (Meshika). Like many Indigenous people, colonization led to a cultural disconnect. She has worked her way back to her culture and continues to decolonize. She enjoys dancing at powows and performing locally with her friend Larry Yazzie and his dance team- Native Pride Productions. She is also working to help keep the Comanche language alive by passing the little she knows to her children. Due to colonization, there are under 10 fluent speakers of this language and most of them are elders.
Is their a spiritual component?
That depends on the participant. We promote unity, not religion. That being said, as you grow and go through this experience, you may create your own spiritual experience or awakening based on how you reflect spirituality. Simply put- However you worship and believe is personal and while we do not embrace anything specific- we do embrace your right to have your own spiritual experience. We call this BYOSE--
Bring Your Own Spiritual Element. Drums are connected to Indigenous spirituality and this is why we have required classes to participate in the drum circle.
